2-18-8 from<Mike Scully>>
.    I was so very pleased to meet and hear John and Greg accompany Therron with his and their rendition of "Tears In Heaven." They met each other yesterday as well.
Stephen's close Arizona friends, Alvin and Marty Wood, provided the wonderful idea to hold the "Tribute." Duck and Decanter were very pleased to reserve their patio. Stephen was booked there the 22nd of February. Also in March and April.
.    Marty played Stephen's album recording of "Yellow Bird" as the closing presentation. That was a touching time for all. As we were during the singing by Therron and Jean. Marty suggested we also place Stephen's guitar on Stephen's performance stool after the song began to play. So we did.
Stephen had his two recordings digitally re-mastered a couple of years ago or so. He then had a thousand produced to replace his original inventory.
.    For any who may not have one or both of Stephen's CDs. may I enthusiastically suggest you watch for them when they become available in March. All subsequent proceeds as I understand are to go to the new scholarship fund that is mentioned  - to be more defined soon.
Sunday proved to be an enjoyable time for all. So many may now also remain great full to Stephen's mom and dad for guiding, encouraging and supporting Stephen during his many early years in training, studying, and learning his music for guitar. He certainly arrived. And we all now still have his best, as we continue.
"Yeah, and Thank you too, Stephen. Ya did so-o-o great.    :- ) "
.  Yesterday, the sun shone so nice and bright. A lovely compliment to a wonderful day..

.    A wonderful day indeed!!! We would like to thank all those who participated and attended The Stephen Liston Tribute. A special thanks to all, and of course, to the Duck and Decanter for their kind contribution
.    It was a time of great celebration, and where many memories re-surfaced. Stephen was a very dear friend to us for many years, and will be deeply missed.
.    We invite you to check back to Stephen’s website from time to time as we continue to keep his legacy going. We would like to thank everyone involved in making all this come together. See you all next year at the first annual Stephen Liston Music Memorial. At the Duck & Decanter unless otherwise noted for next year.

Sincerely,
Alvin and Marty Rae Wood
